Dr. Tibor Andrea Zwimpfer

I completed my medical studies 2016 at the University Basel and 2019 my doctoral degree under the direction of Prof. Magdalena Mueller-Gerbl. The first three years of my residency until December 2019, I worked at the Cantonal Hospital Olten under Dr. Nebjosa Stevanovic. From January 2020 to December 2021, I was working 50% in clinics and 50% in research within the Ovarian Cancer Research Group of the University of Basel under the guidanace of Prof. Viola Heinzelmann-Schwarz, focusing on real-time personalized drug prediction models in ovarian cancer patients. I started a fellowship in gynecological oncology at the University Hospital Basel in January 2022. With the support of the SNF and Bangerter-Rhyner Foundation, I have the opportunity to work for two years from June 2022 at the renowned Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne under Prof. Peter Bowtell in the field of proteogenomics in long-term survivors with ovarian cancer.
